Gang round-up nets several Columbia arrests

Columbia Police worked with several agencies to round up suspected gang members on Thursday.

According to Columbia Police, the effort was a response to several reports of shots fired, shootings and other suspected gang-related activities.

Authorities from the Columbia Police, Boone County Sheriff's Department, FBI and Juvenile Office contacted suspected gang members, associates and family members to end criminal activities.

In the effort, eleven people were arrested over the last three days.

On July 25, police said Jordan Montez Wisley, 20, of Columbia, pulled into a driveway in the 5100 block of Rice Road on Monday when police attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

According to police, Wisley walked toward the officers. Police said when Montez realized it was police, he went back to his vehicle, got a handgun and ran into the garage of the home. Police surrounded the home and an officer found Wisley running out of the back of the house.

According to police, a Sgt. Ordered Wisley to get rid of his weapon several times. Wisley began manipulating the gun while facing the sergeant. Police said a pit bull bit the sergeant while he was tell Wisley to drop his weapon. Wisley then threw his gun and began to run. Officers were able to take him into custody.

Once located, it was discovered the gun was reported stolen to Columbia Police on July 8. A search warrant was served at the house where other guns, MDMA, marijuana and PCP were located.

The following were arrested on July 25:

Keith Cortez Brim, 24, of Kansas City, Mo, on suspicion of one count of resisting arrest, $500.00 bond, distribution/manufacturing/delivering of a controlled substance (cocaine), to be set bond, and Driving Under Revocation $500.00.

 

Donte Rayman Hardy, 22, of Columbia, Municipal warrant for Failure to Appear, original charge no operator’s license.

 

Rodney Wayne Arnold Jr., 26, of Columbia, two counts of distribution/manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana, MDMA,PCP) To be set bond.

 Jordan Montez Wisley, 20, of Columbia, Receiving stolen property, $500.00 bond, Felony resisting arrest $4500.00, Felony tampering with evidence $4500.00, Unlawful use of a weapon $4500.00.

On July 26, Aaron Harris, 18, of Columbia, was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant for Obstructing a Court Order.

On July 27, the following were arrested:

Darryl Jackson, 28, of Columbia, Driving While Suspended.

Ryan Washington, 27, of Columbia, misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana,

 Shontia Conner, 25, of Columbia, out of county warrant, $1000 bond.

 Biagia Davenport, 19, of Columbia, misdemeanor warrant for stealing, $500.00 bond.

 Juvenile male, 16, of Columbia, possession of marijuana, DYS hold.

 Lester Fehling, 28, of Boonville, DWI (felony), Driving While Suspended (felony), Resisting Arrest (felony), $13,500 bond.
