A car chase early Thursday morning in Boone County has landed a Hartsburg man in jail.

Boone County Deputies say they attempted to pull over a car on Highway 63, near Ponderosa Street shortly after 1 a.m.

The driver attempted to get away but the pursuit only lasted about 15 minutes.

Deputies took 32-year-old Michael Garrett into custody in the 4500 block of Christian School Road.

Garrett is charged with probation and parole warrant, felony resisting arrest, and driving while suspended.
