Police investigate Columbia bank robbery

COLUMBIA, MO -- Update: Friday, May 20 at 2:15 p.m.:

Columbia officers responded to a police alarm at Boone County National Bank at 12:36 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses said a white male entered the bank and demanded money.  He did not use a weapon and no one was injured.

Witnesses told police he left the bank on foot and headed south on Paris Road.

The robber is described as a white male in his early 20’s.  He’s about 5’5-5’8 with a small to aver build.  He also has short, brown hair.

The suspect was last seen wearing a baseball cap, shirt, and jeans.

Police do not have a vehicle description and they hope to release surveillance photos soon.
