A Rolla soldier was one of four killed in Afghanistan this week.

The Army has released the names of the soldiers killed by a road side bomb Monday.

The Defense Department said 29-year-old Specialist Bradley Louis Melton of Rolla was killed. Melton was assigned to the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He joined the Army in October 2000.

The attack took place in the city of Spin Ghbarga, in Zabul Province.
