Hot diggity dog! Local food company celebrates 25 years

COLUMBIA, MO. -- Senator Roy Blunt and over 100 Mid-Missourians celebrated the 25th anniversary of Columbia Kraft Foods Company Saturday afternoon.

They honored long-time employees who had been there since the plant opened in the 1980's.

A proclamation was given to the plant for it's hard work and it's 25-years of service in Mid-Missouri.

Numerous state representatives were at the event.

Senator Roy Blunt said the company is a great asset to Missouri.

"It's a great facility for Oscar Mayer, it's a great source of jobs for central Missouri and it helps lots of people including people at the central Missouri food bank and I’m please to be here at be a part of it," blunt said.

Kraft foods is donating 10-thousand pounds of hot dogs to the food bank.

Celebrators enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers, and the Oscar Mayer Weiner mobile.
