Rachel Sweet pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday. She also waived a preliminary hearing.

A hearing has been set for May 6.

Original Story:

In Osage county Tuesday, there's a preliminary hearing for the Linn mother accused in the drowning death of her infant son.

28 year old Rachel Sweet is charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment. Last month she was granted a public defender. At that time Sweet also asked the judge for a reduction in bond, but the judge denied that request.

Investigators say Sweet's baby, Cooper, died on March 9th when he drowned in a bathtub.
