A Linn man has been arrested in Maries County for possession with the intent to sell.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 28 in Vienna early Friday morning, during which the Drug Detection K-9 was called in and used to investigate the vehicle.

As a result of that investigation 26-year-old Mitchell Krieg was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, as well as possession of drug pariphernalia. The search also revealed a loaded pistol in the vehicle.

Krieg is currently awaiting formal charges in the Maries County Jail pending formal charges.
