Boone County goes undercover for alcohol compliance checks

BOONE COUNTY, MO. -- The Boone County Sheriff’s Department conducted 9 alcohol compliance checks at various businesses in Boone County Friday night. 

A press release from the department said during the alcohol compliance checks a person under the age of 21 entered each business and attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages.

Employee, Dedra A. Herdeg, of R.J.’s Mini Mart at 1775 E. Prathersville Road in Columbia was issued a citation for selling intoxicating liquor to a minor.

Eight out of the nine businesses checked did not sell liquor to the undercover minor.

Those businesses are:

 

-          Hinton Fastlane – 520 E. Hinton Rd, Columbia, MO

-          Roanoke Fastlane – 7701 Roanoke, Columbia, MO

-          Petromart 49 – 5481 E. St. Charles Rd., Columbia, MO

-          Whoa and Go Deer Park Store – 6050 Highway AB, Columbia, MO

-          Fastlane Phillips 66 – 602 E. Broadway, Ashland, MO

-          Breaktime – 101 N. Henry Clay Blvd., Ashland, MO

-          Bee Line Snack Shop – 530 E. Broadway, Ashland, MO

-          Bee Line Snack Shop – 21340 S. Mt. Pleasant Rd., Hartsburg, MO

 

The press release said the investigations were supported by funding made available through a grants provided by the Missouri Department of Transportation's Highway Safety Office and the Youth Community Coalition of Columbia.
