Local teen dies in wreck on icy bridge

A local teenager is dead after a one car accident in Moniteau County.

The Highway Patrol says 16 year old Colten Powell of Clarksburg died in an accident on an icy bridge.

Troopers say the accident happened around 7:30 yesterday morning on Route E at the Moreau Creek bridge.

Powell lost control on the icy covered bridge, went off the road and down a steep embankment.

Powell was not wearing his seat belt.
