Original story:

A 2-day radiothon is benefiting MU’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Several Zimmer Radio Group radio stations are broadcasting live from the hospital during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon.

The families of sick children are telling their stories to radio personalities during the live broadcasts.

Listeners are donating to the radiothon by calling a toll free number.

The fundraiser is over at 6 p.m. tonight.

MU Health Care Spokesman Matt Splett said, “The Children’s Miracle Network radiothon supports children’s hospital services through a wide range of services, everything from helping patients and families with meal tickets to providing fun and games for our activity room to new technology that may support patients in our neonatal intensive care unit.”

Organizers of the radiothon will announce how much money they raised for MU’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital at 6:30 p.m.
