The winter weather is causing many car accidents and slide-offs throughout Mid-Missouri.

The scanner is reporting at least a dozen slide-offs caused by the winter weather.

Remember driving in winter conditions to give yourself more time to get to and from your destinations.

Also be extra careful while driving on overpasses because they are very slick.
