COLUMBIA, MO. -- They’re back…and they are just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The lines are long, once again this year, for Columbia’s Candy Factory chocolate covered strawberries.

The strawberries are a great Valentine’s Day gift, but some people use them to change their lives.

Candy Factory Manager Amy Atkinson says many young lovers use her chocolate covered strawberries to help pop the question on Valentine’s Day.

A steady flow of customers have been buying the berries since Friday.

Atkinson said, “I think it’s been good this year.  A lot of people bought chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate Valentine’s Day on the weekend, and yet on Monday, a lot of people came in on Monday, as well.”

The Candy Factory’s strawberries are available until 7 p.m. on Monday at the corner of 7th and Cherry Streets in Downtown Columbia.
