Preparations are well under way for the annual Christmas Eve dinner in Moberly on Friday.

It's one of the biggest Cchristmas Eve dinners in the area. Organizers say they expect to serve more than 1,700 people in the Moberly Area Community College Activity Center. They also plan on delivering more than 500 meals.

If you'd like to help serve, volunteers should arrive around 11:00 Friday morning.

Organizers say they still need desserts. If you'd like to donate a dessert, they mus be non-refridgerated. You can begin dropping those desserts off at 9:00 Friday morning.

The dinner begins at 5:00 P.M. Santa will make an appearance at 6:00.
