Boone County Sheriff’s Cyber Crime Task force is looking for a man suspected of distributing child pornography.
Diego Camargo-Wasserman, 18, of Columbia, was suspected after his residence at 6390 South Sabine Dr. was identified in July 2010 as offering child porn through file sharing programs.
During the search, deputies found 26 videos that show children being molested and engaging in sexual conduct, some of the children were believed to be 3-years-old.
Before the evidence seized during the search was fully examined, police believe Camargo-Wasserman left the country to go to Mexico.
In mid-August, the case was referred to the Assistant U.S. Attorney’s Office for federal prosecution. On Sept. 23, a federal grand jury indicted Camargo-Wasserman on charged pertaining to child porn possession.
Camargo-Wasserman has a federal arrest warrant issued against him.
Camargo-Wasserman also has arrest warrants for failure to appear for unrelated charges in Boone County Court. The charges include, first degree robbery, second degree burglary and drug possession.
