FULTON, MO. -- A group of local citizens and journalists who attended Ronald Reagan’s speech 20 years ago in Fulton held a special roundtable discussion.

KRCG's Kermit Miller joined historians for a question and answer session at the lecture hall in the Coulter Science Center on the Westminster College Campus.

Panel members reminisced about their experiences with President Reagan, Sir Winston Churchill’s Granddaughter, Edwina Sandys and the actual unveiling of the “Breakthrough” sculpture crafted from eight sections of the Berlin Wall in memory of Sir Winston Churchill.

The panel members shared many fond memories.

“I think just the occasion, the size of the crowd we had here," Westminster College Historian Jack Marshall said. "Ronald Reagan gave a very good speech. It was a real highlight of the year here in Fulton, Missouri.”

Members of the discussion panel included Warren Hollerah, Professor Bob Seelinger, Jack Marshall and Bruce Hackman.
