The Central Missouri Honor Flight Organization has sent hundreds of local WWII veterans to our nation's capital to see the memorial dedicated to the war they fought.

The flight is free of charge for the veterans, but it costs about $300 per veteran to make the flight happen.

That money comes from local fundraising, and an event this weekend will help more veterans make the flight.

The Annual Honor Ball is scheduled for Saturday, November 6th.

The evening includes dinner, big band music and dancing. All the proceeds benefit the Central Missouri Honor Flight Organization.

Tickets are $100 per person or a table of ten can be purchased for $900.

For a reservation please call (573)256-1930, or you can send an email to: centralmissourihonorball@gmail.com
