Original Story:

A 22-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after being shot three times.

Police said it happened in the 1700 block of Parkside Drive, near cosmo park in Columbia, shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said the bullets struck the victim in the arm, hip and back.

First responders found the man conscious and breathing.

Police said he was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, but is in good condition this morning.

Police said there are a lot of questions leading up to the shooting, because the victim hasn't been willing to give any information to investigators.

Police said the victim ran down the block after he was shot. Officers found him collapsed in the street.

The person who called 911 hid in some nearby woods until officers arrived because they were so frightened.

Authorities said the only suspect information they have is that they suspect left the scene in a silver car.

If you have any information about this shooting, police urge you to call Columbia Crimestoppers at 875-TIPS.
