CAMDEN COUNTY, MO. -- Update: Monday, Oct. 11 at 12:26 p.m.
There were five vehicles, including a school bus, a semi-truck and three passenger cars, involved in the crash that happened Friday afternoon.
There were 18 people injured in the crash, 16 of which were minors on the school bus. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report, most of the injuries were minor, a 13-year-old girl suffered moderate injuries.
The 18 people injured in the crash were taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
The three passenger cars were waiting to make a left hand turn from Missouri 5 junction, just north of Missouri 7 south junction when the crash happened.
The school bus was slowing to a stop behind the cars, when the semi-truck hit the school bus. The crash caused a domino effect, each car hitting the one in front of it.
The semi-truck, school bus and a passenger car suffered extensive damage.
Update: Friday, Oct. 8 at 5:40 p.m.
Police said that approximately 13 people were taken to the hospital.
The people taken to the hospital suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was backed up for miles, while crews cleared the crash scene for 1.5 hours.

Three different agencies are responding to a three vehicle pile-up in Camden County.
A semi-truck hit a school bus that then hit a van on 5/7 Junction southbound near the Bridal Cave area.
The school bus was loaded with children.
Traffic is backed up on southbound junction.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Department, Camdenton Police Department and Highway Patrol are responding to the crash.
