Missouri River 340 race postponed

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Officials are postponing the annual Missouri River 340 race for kayakers and canoeists because of high water and a fast current.

The 340-mile race from Kansas City, Kansas, to St. Charles was scheduled to start Tuesday but has been pushed back to August 24.
