COLUMBIA, MO. -- This summer's "Lunch in the Park" program kicked off Monday.

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department is providing nutritional summertime lunches for kids every weekday this summer at Douglass Park in Columbia.

Mary Martin with the Public Health and Human Services said last summer they averaged about 100 kids a day.

The kids must be younger than 18 to participate.

Lunches will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Aug. 14.
