JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- Jefferson City Police arrested a man for strong armed robbery.

Tyler G. Vaughn, 20, was arrested after police searched his home and found the stolen items.

Police responded to Lafayette and McCarty Street after a woman was knocked down and her purse was stolen. A witness gave police information that led them to Vaughn’s home.

Vaughn is being held at Cole County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing to determine if a second suspect was involved in the robbery.
