JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- Some 900,000 Ameren UE customers will get their 2009 home energy usage reports in the mail this week.
The report, taking data from 2008 and 2009, details a consumer's pattern of electricity consumption.
It shows month-to-month changes in both consumption and expense, even noting average temperatures, which can affect consumption.
The report also compares like months between 2008 and 2009.
"It's really about being able to measure what you're using so that you can start to do something about it,” Ameren Energy Efficiency Coordinator Cara Dolly said. “If you are fine with how you use your energy, that's really great. But a lot of us could look at this and say, 'Oh gosh, I could make that better this year and save myself a hundred dollars.’”
The personalized reports will also contain information about Ameren's rebate programs for the purchase of energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs.
