The Jefferson City Council meets Monday night. On the agenda: the city's controversial mandatory trash and recycling program.

JEFFERSON CITY -- Council members could vote Monday on fifth ward councilman Ron Medin's trash bill amendment.

Medin's proposal would give Jefferson City's Samaritan Center about $10,000 to jump start an assistance program.

That money would help about 50 Capital City residents pay the $15 monthly trash and recycling fee.

Council members could also vote to reverse the city's 30 year ban on tattoo and body piercing establishments within city limits.
