JEFFERSON CITY (AP) -- Democratic lieutenant governor's candidate Sam Page has reported receiving a contribution from a Canadian company -- an apparent violation of a federal law banning foreign political donations.

Page received a $10,000 contribution Oct. 4 from Waverly Glen, a medical equipment company based in Vaughan, Ontario.

A Page spokesman said Friday that the campaign plans to file an amended finance report showing the contribution came from Prism Medical Services, based in St. Louis. Prism is affiliated with Waverly Glen and incorporated as a Missouri company in June.
