Two arrested after shots fired

Two people are in custody after a shooting incident in Jefferson City.

Jefferson City police were called to the 900 block of East Dunklin about reports of a large fight with 15 people. As they arrived, several people took off and then police heard several gunshots.

Police found one suspect, Timothy Lamar Williams Jr., in a wooded area in 700 block of East Elm Street. They also found a gun.

Williams faces several charges, including unlawful use of a weapon and possession of stolen property.

A second suspect, Chad Brewer, was also arrested for failing to obey an officer and resisting arrest. No one was injured.
