COLUMBIA, MO. -- The youngest of six candidates for Columbia mayor said he is dropping out of the race.

Sean O’Day said he plans to announce his decision on Wednesday and endorse another candidate.

This news comes as a surprise to many of O’Day’s supporters with only one week left in the campaign.

The five candidates left in the Columbia Mayoral race are Paul Love, Bob McDavid, Sal Nuccio, Sid Sullivan and Jerry Wade.
