Columbia authorities have created the "Columbia Ceasefire Initiative" because of several recent shootings in the area.

The initiative's aim is to remove dangerous individuals from the streets, thereby preventing more shootings. A directory of names and photos, plus close associates with suspected involvement, has been compiled using information from victims, witnesses, police reports, Crime Stoppers tips and various other sources.

If you have any helpful information about any recent assaults or homicides, contact police, call Crime Stoppers or email Detective Jon Logan at
 jdlogan@gocolumbiamo.com.

The partnership includes the Columbia Police Department Criminal Investigations Divisions, Traffic Unit, Vice Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, Patrol Bureau, Boone County Sheriff's Department and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
