OSAGE BEACH -- The Osage Beach Police Department is asking you be careful when it comes to leaving valuable items in your car.  There have been several thefts of purses, wallets and other personal items from cars parked along the Osage Beach parkway, north of the Highway 42 intersection in Osage Beach.

Victims say the items where left in plain view in their cars.  The thief, or thieves, then broke out windows to steal the items.

Officials ask that if you need to leave personal items in your car, put them in the trunk, or secure them out of sight.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Osage Beach Police Department, at (573) 302-2000 or their local law enforcement agency.
