COLUMBIA, MO. -- Four people were at an apartment in The Grove, located at 3250 Rock Quarry Road, when someone began pounding on the door Saturday evening.

The door was forced open, and three or four men entered. One of the men had a handgun, but no one was injured in the incident. Several items of value were taken.

Officers were dispatched at about 5:10 p.m. No arrests have been made.

In the early morning hours Sunday, four to six shots were fired during a fight involving several people at a large party, which had between 200 and 300 people.

Officers were dispatched to 5113 Commercial Drive at about 2:45 a.m. for the incident.

When the shots were fired, people ran.

One fleeing party goer, a 22-year-old man, was hit in the lower leg by a bullet and taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle. His current condition is unknown, athough the injury was not life threatening.

Authorities found bullet holes in a nearby residence. They also collected shell casings and other evidence.

The investigation has been referred to the Criminal Investigations Division.

The suspect is described as a black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks, wearing a maroon shirt.
