CROCKER, MO. -- Updated: Friday, August 24 at 8:15 a.m.

Pulaski County Sheriff, J.B. King, said a 5-year-old girl was the victim of the possible sexual assault.

He also said the case involes a family member who reportedly worked for the city of Crocker which is why the police chief relinquished jurisdiction.

Original story:

A 64-year-old Crocker man was arrested Thursday under suspicion of sex crimes against a child.

The Pulaski County Sheriff said August 15 his office learned about a possible sexual assault incident reported by the Missouri Division of Family Services to the Kids Harbor Two office.

The incident reportedly happened in Crocker but because of a possible conflict in interest, the Crocker Police Chief relinquished jurisdiction and requested that the Sheriff’s Office handle the case.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit interviewed the victim, which the Sheriff told KRCG 13 is “very young,” along with family members and the suspect, 64-year-old Robert Dail Fraser.

Fraser was arrested by Pulaski County deputies Thursday evening at his home on Harold Street in Crocker.

He was then taken to the Pulaski County Jail and has a $100,000 bond.

After the receiving the probable cause statement, the Pulaski County Prosecutor charged Fraser with one count of first degree statutory sodomy.
