I
t was a beautiful day to take a walk in the park, and in Columbia, it was an even better day to take your dog with you.
The American Cancer Society along with the Central Missouri Humane Society hosted an event this afternoon at Stephens Lake Park to help raise funding for cancer research.
Folks could bring their dogs and walk them around the lake, all for a good cause. or, if they didn't have a dog of their, they could take an adoptable humane society dog for a stroll.
There were also demonstrations, food, booths, and a silent auction, which featured items for humans and their canine counterparts.
