Boonville Mayor Julie Thatcher has confirmed to KRCG 13 that the Boonville Hostess Plant will close its doors for good Friday, November 16.
Plant workers will continue through the end of their shifts and then will be sent home. The plant employs around 80 people.
A small discount bakery shop connected to the Hostess plant in Boonville will sell Hostess products until they run out. They expect to sell out on Monday.
KRCG 13's Mark Slavit spoke with a worker at the Hostess plant who said that the overall mood is sadness and shock.
