SEDALIA -- Three people were arrested after Sedalia Police officers found drugs and drug packaging supplies.
On Sunday, an officer tried to stop a vehicle in the 700 block of East Broadway. Instead of stopping, the vehicle led the officer on a chase.
After a short distance, the officer stopped his pursuit.
Later, Pettis County Sheriff's deputies spotted the driver, 24-year-old Jimmy Brown, and his passenger inside the vehicle and took them into custody.
Before the arrests, the STING unit was notified Brown had been at the Comfort Inn selling marijuana from a room.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found marijuana, a digital scale and baggies.
Brown had hotel room keys with him when he was arrested, according to a news release.
After getting a search warrant for the Comfort Inn and the room, investigators found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging supplies.
While investigators were there, 33-year-old Sarena Sundberg and 28-year-old Amber Lawson came to the hotel to buy drugs from Brown.
Authorities then searched Sundberg and Lawson's home in the 1400 block of South Stewart and found marijuana, methamphetamine, baggies and drug paraphernalia.
Sundberg, Lawson and Brown were all arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Brown faces possible charges for resisting arrest, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sundberg faces possible charges of distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lawson faces possible charges three counts of distribution of a controlled substance.
