JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- A man is facing multiple charges after a hit-and-run involving a Jefferson City police officer early Saturday morning.
23-year-old Cory Ingram, of Webster Groves, was traveling southbound on Locust St. around 2 a.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a marked police vehicle.
Ingram sped away from the scene, but was apprehended shortly after.
Ingram was arrested for felony leaving the scene of an accident, second-degree assault, driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and failing to stop at a stop sign.
His blood alcohol content was .187.
The officer was taken to St. Mary's for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Ingram was not injured.
Ingram is being held in Cole County Jail pending formal charges.
