The Boone Hospital Center Board of Trustees wants to build a new clinic on the south side of Columbia.

The plans call for a four-building medical campus on 13 acres of land near the corner of Nifong and Forum boulevards. That’s near the Molly Bowden Memorial.

Trustees bought the land in 1993. They want to name the new clinic “Boone Hospital Medical Park South.”

Hospital officials said some options for the clinic would include outpatient surgeries and urgent care.

Boone Hospital officials requested a rezoning of the property from office to planned commercial. Columbia City Council members could approve the rezoning request as soon as March.
