Columbia convenience store robbed

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Columbia police are reporting that convenience storein Columbia was robbed Friday night.

Police are saying that around 7:44 p.m. a black male entered the Shell Petromart at 905 I-70 Drive Southwest and demanded money from the clerk.

According to reports, the suspect acted as if he was armed, but did not show a weapon.

The suspect fled in an undetermined direction after the robbery.

Police tried to track the suspect with a K9 unit, but were unsuccessful.

Columbia police are asking anyone with information on the suspect's wherabout to contact them at 882-7201 or call Crimestoppers at 875-TIPS
