Two people are in Cole County Jail today facing drug-related charges.

Clayton Schaben, 21, and Katelin Borden, 22, were arrested yesterday and charged with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A trooper from the Missouri State Highway Patrol pulled their car over near West Stadium Blvd. and Hyde Park Rd. in Jefferson City. After speaking with Schaben, who was driving the car, the trooper detected the smell of marijuana coming from the car.

A search of the vehicle revealed half a pound of marijuana. A search warrant for Schaben's home resulted in the seizure of 15 pounds of marijuana, distribution materials and over $50,000 in cash.

The two are awaiting bond.
