Highway Patrol Reports Holiday Weekend Statistics

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting that one person died due to a traffic accident during this year's Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

This time period began at 10 p.m. Wednesday night and lasted through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers investigated 350 crashes which resulted in 140 injuries.

In addition, troopers also arrested 140 people for driving while intoxicated.

During last year's holiday weekend, the Highway Patrol reported four fatalities and 125 injuries in 365 crashes. There were four fatalities state-wide.
