A 19-year-old man is in Pulaski County Jail today pending the posting of bond.

James Leclair was arrested on Friday for a theft he allegedly committed on Thursday.

Officials responded to a reported theft at CB's Mini Mart on Thursday and found that the suspect fled on foot with $97 worth of merchandise. The store clerk provided authorities with a description of the suspect and a recording of the incident.

The following day, police received a call of a person matching the suspect's description at Road Ranger Truck. When the reporting deputy from the CB's Mini Mart theft arrived, he matched the detained man to the previous description and recording.

The man was identified as James Leclair. Leclair claimed to be a transient with no local address.

Leclair was charged with one count of theft under $500. He was also ordered to have no contact with CB's Mini Mart. Bond is set at $10,000.
