Saturday Fulton Police were called to County Road 210 and Highway 54.
Someone reported a person was face down in the ditch.
Sara Spencer, 52, was found assaulted and bleeding.
She was taken to University Hospital.
The Fulton Police Department has recovered the stolen Honda CRV at the Walmart parking lot here in Fulton.
After the recovery we were able to work with Walmart security to view video footage and determined that the victim Sara Spencer was abducted from the Walmart parking lot at approximately 09:05 PM on Friday evening.
According to the video, the suspect, Pamela Lynn Carter had parked a van on the north parking lot at Walmart.
She was there for some time.
She then began to hang around the front of the store apparently waiting for something.
When Sara Spencer exited the store after purchasing groceries, the suspect followed her to her car.
The two spoke for a few minutes before suspect got into the passenger's side of the victim's car.
The vehicle then left the parking lot.
The Honda CRV returned to the Walmart lot approximately one hour later.
The vehicle was occupied by the suspect only.
The suspect parked the car, then went inside of the store where she was photographed by security cameras, shopping.
The suspect was positively identified as Pamela Lynn Carter age 57 of Fulton.
The suspect left the store in a blue and white 1980's Ford van.
Fulton officers subsequently found the van parked at 1312 Westview Drive.
Officers from Fulton along with assistance from the Missouri State Highway patrol served a search warrant at 1312
Westview at approximately 4:00 AM. Items were found that link Carter to the assault.
Carter has been charged with one count of Assault 1st degree, One count of Kidnapping, One count of Robbery 1st Degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her total bond is $1 Million. She is presently housed at the Callaway County Jail.
