Update: Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 2:20 p.m.:

Holts Summit police have made an arrest in an overnight stabbing.

Officers aren’t naming the man at this point, just saying he’s a 33-year-old from Holts Summit. If charges are filed, officials will release his name.

The suspect remains in custody. Police said after he is processed the man will be transferred to the Callaway County Jail.

Holts Summit police are investigating reports of a stabbing after a report was called in.

Officers interviewed the victim at St. Mary's emergency room in Jefferson City where they learned he was stabbed in Holts Summit.

Authorities found blood stains in the 300 block of South Summit Drive, which is in the J&L trailer park neighborhood.
