Dangerous heat is heading towards Mid-Missouri as all of our counties are under a Heat Advisory until 7 PM Saturday.

In addition, Howard, Cooper, Pettis, Saline, Chariton and Randolph Counties are under an Excessive Heat Warning until 7 PM Friday.

The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity values will lead to dangerous heat indices ranging from 100-105.

Conditions such as these can cause sunstroke, muscle cramps and/or heat exhaustion.

Use caution when you're outside in the heat.  Drink plenty of fluids and keep an eye on the elderly, kids and pets.
