BOONE COUNTY -- An Ashland teenager was killed in a car crash Wednesday afternoon in Boone County.

Freddie Rudkin, 18, was driving northbound on US 63 at Westbrook Drive at about 3:45 p.m. when his Ford Probe went off the right side of the roadway, hit a rock bluff and overturned.

Rudkin was thrown from the car and pronounced dead at University Hospital in Columbia later in the afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Rudkin was not wearing a seatbelt.
