Moberly woman shot in the legs during home invasion

MOBERLY -- Moberly police are looking for two people after a woman was shot in her home just after 12:30 a.m.  Wednesday.

Police said the two forced their way into the home on the 800 block of West Coates Street.

During the encounter, a 28-year-old female was shot in the legs and the shooters then left in an unknown vehicle.

She was taken to University hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 30-year-old female and a 3-year-old boy were also home, but not harmed.

Police are still investigating and ask anyone with information to call the Moberly police department at 660-263-0346 or the crime tip hotline at 660-269-8477.
