OSAGE COUNTY, MO -- It’s been a month and a day since a boating crash killed two people on the Osage River. Pretty soon, the man suspected to be responsible, may face charges.

Osage County Prosecutor Amanda Grellner said she is waiting on blood work from Christopher Winkler before she decides to file charges. She said results from the lab could come in as soon as next week.

The Highway Patrol says Winkler, of Jefferson City, was behind the wheel of the boat that hit two anchored boats in the Osage River.

Curtis Libbert, of Tebbets, and Alvin Blackford, of Russelville, both died in the crash.
