Severe weather in Mid-Missouri

Update:
Pretty much all the severe weather that hit Central Missouri early Tuesday has passed through the area.

The Missouri National Weather Service has not confirmed if any of the tornado warnings actually had tornadoes touch down.

KRCG’s meteorologist Zach Paul said that the rest of Tuesday is supposed to be very cold with a chance of flurries.

He said daytime highs Tuesday afternoon will only be in the thirties and low forties at most locations throughout mid-Missouri, with brisk northwest winds bringing wind chill values down into the teens and low twenties.

Very cold conditions can be expected Tuesday night, with lows dropping into the teens.

Update:
As of 1:55am the National Weather Service has cancelled all warning for the KRCG viewing area.  The tornado watch is still in effect until 7:00 a.m.  There were several reports of 1" hail but no damage or injuries have been reported.

The National Weather Service has issued a number of tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings for the KRCG viewing area. There is also a tornado watch out for our entire viewing area until 7:00 a.m.

There National Weather Service hasn’t confirmed any tornadoes on the ground yet. But please stay close to the computer, television or cell phone for any new weather alerts.
