Thousands of people across mid Missouri are still without power after Winter Storm 2013 Round Two.

Crews from around the Show-Me State have descended on Co-Mo Electric Cooperative’s service territory to assist in the restoration effort after Tuesday’s massive winter storm, according to a press release from Co-Mo Electric Cooperative.

More than 155 linemen from 20 electric utilities made significant progress Thursday in restoring power across the Co-Mo Electric Cooperative service territory the company said in a news release.

According to Co-Mo Electric, power was restored Thursday to more than 5,000 of the members affected by the massive winter storm earlier in the week as crews again worked from 6 a.m. until late at night to fix broken poles, damaged crossarms and downed lines. As of 7 a.m. Friday, less than 3,400 members remained without power, down from nearly 12,000 Tuesday.

They went on to say their focus areas Friday include but are not limited to Prairie Home, Pilot Grove, Fortuna, Versailles, Gravois Mills, Stover and California. Work, though, is going on in other areas.

As of Thursday morning, Ameren Missouri's map showed power was restored to all of their customers in mid Missouri.

The heavy wet snow has lead to power outages across mid-Missouri.  In Cole County, more than 800 Three Rivers Electric customers, mainly south of Jefferson City, were sitting in the dark as power lines came down.

In Columbia, Water and Light restored power to all customers by Tuesday evening. Earlier in the day, they had over 40 outages affecting up to 4,000 customers.
