Red Cross accepting nominations for Lifesaver Awards

Information about the 2013 Lifesaver Awards was presented at the American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter's Lifesaver Awards Kickoff Tuesday afternoon.

Nominations for the eight categories – Good Samaritan, Youth, Blood Services, Military, Medical, Law Enforcement, Firefighter and EMT – will be accepted through Wednesday, May 1.

The awards ceremony will be at the North Jefferson City Pavilion from 4 to 7 p.m. June 25.

The Volunteer of the Year will also be honored at the ceremony.
