Lebanon felon charged with poaching deer

LEBANON, MO (AP) -- A felon poached deer using guns he can't legally own.

John Edward McGinniss III faces felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The 45-year-old Lebanon man is a felon because of a 1998 conviction for possession of a controlled substance.

He is in Laclede County Jail with a $150,000 cash-only bond. Court dates have not yet been set.
