Fifteen cows dead from starvation. Twenty more emaciated and in need of attention.

This was the scene that greeted investigators at a property just south of Stover on Highway 135.

Officials with the Morgan County Sheriff's Department are asking that 50 charges be filed, including one count of felony animal abuse and torture. The property owner's name has not been released, as formal charges have not yet been filed.
